My writer friends all beat me in everything besides actual number of favorites. They have more watchers, comments, and pageviews. I think i need to find a way to become more involved the deviantart communtity so i can become more known. Anybody got any ideas?

Who are the writer friends you're referring to? :? For quite a few people you know, that isn't true.

*ReonMeriwether , that famous pirate guy got into an annoying argument with him, and he pretty much called me out with a poem, =BleedTheDream180 he's a pretty nice guy, other people i forget the names of, and even you

oh, well those people aren't really your friends ^^; haha. You'll never get anywhere comparing yourself to strangers, someone out there will always have more than you. If you do want to spread out through the community, though, as others have said before me: make an effort to interact with new people.

No those were mostly enemies (and i've talked with each of them on many occasions, except Bleed since he's a nice guy) and you have to compare yourself in order to become better and hey i included you does that mean you don't consider me a friend?

my point was that you're comparing yourself to a lot of really prominent moguls on the site. There are plenty of talented people you know and talk to on here in the same range as you, in the terms you listed.

Start offering detailed critiques to other people's work. Give advice and encouragement. If you want to be really pointed about it, when you're offering someone advice you could reference one of your own workds as an example (see how I used interesting line breaks while maintaining flow in x). It'll draw people in.

Read, like, and comment or just read and comment, it's as simple as that (^,-)
Think of how you feel when you do this for other writers, I know I would be grateful that someone gave me some of their time to read my work... so just spread your work around here and there and in time you will get the recognition that you deserve (^-^)

I wonder why you are tensed... I have seen people on dA that have been for more than 3 to 4 years and they have over all stats lower than yours. Watchers, comments, fav's AND pageviews. The number of views your works get and fav's (plus 140 watchers) and 5000+ pageviews is more than enough I'd say. I also wonder who your writer friends are :hmm:
