A specter weaving through the clouds

Piercing eyes reach into my soul
From the netherworld he will come
When I am no longer whole

An enigma,
Spawned from the magick of old
In a lingering mist he waits
Cast in velvet shadows so cold

Silent wind,
Roses fall upon my grave
Talons clasp my fading spirit
A fallen love will he save

Destiny,
Shrieks echo across a leaden sky
Life descends to the arms of death
Scarlet tears begin to fly

Tragedy,
Memories my heart cannot sever
Broken dreams whisper —

Legends of The Dark PriesthoodIn the dawn of shadow-fire,
a Raven king dreams...

Over solemn ground winds of fate begin to wail;
seduced by the nocturnal rapture of a primeval spell
Acheronian dreams draped over nocuous splendor
— Living nightmares forged in prophecies of hell

Like a black tide they rose up from the netherworld;
a chilling symphony of screams shattering the skies
~ They are the Legends of the Dark Priesthood
Suspended in arrowed-twilight, their fury cries

Whispering shadows bleed upon twisted branches
A chilling fable glistening in an opus of death
Dark priests fuse night's accent with lucid odium
Ravenous apparitions seek thy last brea

Holding My BreathLife...is pain
Life...is so deranged
We're all dealin,
And we're all feelin...

The same...

We are thinking about tomorrow!
How much more can we mortgage our souls,
How much more can we borrow?!
We keep living in yesterday!
We all refuse to change!
We still get consumed by the flames...!

Today...becomes a memory
Overcome by sorrow and passion...we all flee

And at..the..last!
What will we have gained?
At...the last!
Will we learn to refrain?
At...the...last!
Will we finally believe in ourselves,
And stop choosing who to blame?

But don't you worry 'bout it,
I'm just holding my breath,
Even at the end,
I promise I won't be

ReflectionsRealist my friend, you are a bloody fool!
Did you honestly think that love was simple?
That everyone on earth has one person that
They are just destined to be with?

I didn't think...
I hoped.
No matter how unlikely it seems,
A Realist can still be a Dreamer.

And will you look where that got you.
When has hope done anything practical,
And since when has dreaming ever helped Superman
Find his Lois Lane?

I don't expect you to understand.
It's just something you feel deep within you.
If you ever felt love before,
You would know.

BurningIt's time to do what I should have done along time ago.

To start a fire,

And throw my heart in it.

While the flames kiss my heart,

It burns away my past,

With the ashes I hold I still see the memories

Of the wanted and unwanted times,

They bring a smile to my face.

Yet I let the wind take them away,

So I can move on.

So I can feel what I should have felt a long time ago.

The feeling of bring free,

Of everything being clear.

And now when I see him my heart comes alive

Once again.

And now I can feel for him the way I should have

The way I was meant for.

And now I feel my heart mending in a new way.

My heart is burni

Not So CharmingHer prince was going to save her
from the dragons of heartbreaking loneliness
from the trolls, insecurity and incompetence
and from the throat tearing tears she bears each sleepless night.

Until he realized that the busty blond in the neighboring tower was so much better.

Beyond...Beyond the land of dreams
Where mortals seldom go
Old Gods speak in riddles
Of things we should not know

Past gates that few may pass
Undead souls teach secrets
The lore that ever lasts

No Turning Back     "You're sure you know what you're doing, young lady?"

     "I'm sure."

     "And you're certain you want to go through with this?"

     I take a deep breath. "Yes."

     A sly grin. "Right this way."

     The tall, wiry man steps out from behind his desk and motions me to the back of his dark, musty antique shop. I'm only slightly hesitant in following, wondering suddenly if this isn't the kind of situation in which a girl might be taken advantage of. But amongst the shop's many ancient items, I catch a glimpse of a thin-bladed samurai sword to my right, and reassure myself that, were Mr. Beanpole here to try anything funny, I could

The Crow and the ButterflyOnce the crow and the butterfly fell in love.
But he knew he would just pain.
Then he swore never to touch her.
And the leaves carried your's tears.

In an autumn sky, a shadow has haunted.
Afraid, she flew away.
The scarecrow said it would protect him.
And then she fell asleep with his song.

Following the cries for help.
Flying toward the twilight.
The crow saw her lying.
Desperate, he tried to reach her.

Then came across rivals.
And the drops of blood flew with flowers.
Painting the skies of crimson.

Then she awoke to the fields of Morpheus.
Dark feathers covering her face.
The terrible shadow was gone.
But at what cost?

Cut the crap
stop the falsehoods
tell the story without the rose
Everything is so wrong,
so incredibly fake,
so horrific
and oh so frightening
So stop telling the sincere
the story of sincerity
tell the tale of the dirt,
the horror
and of the world
Tell the tale
shout it out loud
And tell me
answer me
Why is it
so,
beautiful?

The Super Hero DreamThe Super Hero Dream.

Since I was young I've always had this reoccurring dream.

As immature and juvenile at it may seem.

I'd have this one fantasy…

That me and my peers were apart of a heroic, super natural team.

We would serve and protect the world from impending doom.

But every morning I always end up waking up too soon.

I would stir and gaze around my marvel inspired room.

And attempt to…

Move objects with just will of my mind.

Completely alter my anatomical design.

Teleport in and out of realties and dimensions.

Communicate with anyone via a telepathic connection.

Have an invulnerable metal emerge from my knuckles.

Well, I do have quite an affinity to crows...So, I have to say, I like this more than I probably should.

The ending, if I do say so myself, was quite brillant. The idea of a poor crow, croaking the impersonation of a fallen singer just plucks my hearstrings into quite a lovely tune. I can see the obvious symbolism in this...in the sorrow of one in their lacking, and the misery of another in their expression. I think I've often felt like that crow, calling in self-dismay and ire, and carrying the notes of another until all that's left of me is raw and dull. It's quite wonderful...

But, I have to say, I would spice up the words a bit. "Sorrow" and "sing/song" among others are used a little too often for my taste, but not to where it's annoying.

Really!? I'd love to have a crow, but I'm dying to get a pet magpie. I take care of a domestic one, and I just adore him. X3 But, he's not mine, and I really want to aquire one someday...

The magpie speaks...so it can't be too hard to teach a crow! :3 (Same family, higher intelligence.)

I think I just have a liking for the mag I take care of. X3 I've become biased towards those little guys because of his curious and self-imposed personality. I just love him.

If I had a crow, I'd be sure to get a Hooded or African Pied crow...I find them to my liking, and African Pieds are pretty easy to train. (That, or get a raven.

)

But, hey, if you can get any crow, get one! They're awesome! (But messy...)

I could never get a raven , I would always be scared it would begin to scream "Nevermore" (please tell me you know that reference)
And my friend has a Fish Crow. It has pitch black feathers that are always ruffled up. It is so cool.
