GhostThe dream shatters around me
Like a broken mirror.

Looking at the wreckage,
My reflection unrecognizable.

A broken image.
A broken heart.

I'm cut by the shards
As I try to piece it back together.

My blood sprinkles the surface
Like a red rain.

The mirror is whole again.
What's left of the dream.

I look at my reflection,
And tears finally begin to fall.

Sometimes I just have those days
Where everyone should stay away
Where the slightest thing you say
Will be the cause of me to break your face.

You better keep clear during these times
I promise to exhibit obvious signs.
I'll hiss and I'll growl; I'll snicker and snear.
Sarcasm is high only if you're near.

I meltdown like a volcano erupting
Onto a blanket of snow where the lava's disrupting
The particles' flow; they speed up and go
As the rage builds from my head to my toes.

One bad thing leads to another
Like my drunken mother or a call from my brother
Or a fight with a friend; God it never ends.

These lines you wish to free the prisoner.

My trembling hands
Don't want to come together

I refuse to feel weakness
Oppress the confessor

We sit in our daughters room
Looking over her possessions
Praying she will be home soon

Just in time for Christmas
Her presents are under the tree
Ready to create some more
Of those beautiful memories

It's now mid December
Terror has frozen our tears
As our angels face is slowly
Beginning to disappear

For unimaginable pain
As her baby brother weeps
Wanting his sister back again

It's now late December
The festivities have past
As searches for our princess
Are slowly scaled back

A knock on the front door
The endless fall to the ground

Of the darkened hall,
I slid down to a sitting position,
As you worsen my condition,
My eyes blurred by tears,
But you can't seem to hear.

Instead of yelling and hitting,
And pulling out my hair.

Leaving me crying,
In the dark,
You start to breaking and throwing,
Things that are sharp,
Glass start to fly,
I hope it gets into your eye,
But instead it hits me in the thigh.

Alright i Cannot find a cover that is remotely good except for one to which the author gave explicit orders not to use without their permission so i gotta wait for that so for now i'll just use mthis awesomely sad photo (which i did NOT create) but ~JollyPen did create and it looks absolutely beautiful (please visit the page) . This poem was originally inspired by the idea of .... kno wwhat i have no idea i just put the words "i'm a ghost" and started writing. Hope everyone likes.

You need to watch out for proper grammar when you write. It's a terrible sign when a writer doesn't pay attention to the most important thing about writing.

Every time you act like you don’t see
I’m ghost

a ghost?

When your memory is all that’s keeping me sane
From I’m a ghost

for I'm a ghost?

But can a ghost die,
From I’ve been killed before
Under your covered eyes.

"from" again, instead of "for".

Yet why, for every time you ignore my memory
Does it feel like its breaking?

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ummmmmm you a grammar nazi ain't you.
damn i think i'm under siege. I have always had trouble with grammar. You should see how many green lines their are in the books in write on word. I'm good with words not apostrophes

I'm kind of a grammar nazi, yes. It's one thing to have some typos while texting or IMing someone, but to show poor grammar in literature should be a felony. If you see so many green lines when you're writing on Word, why not fix them?

I did enjoy this poem a bit more, yes, but your work is just not for me.

this was dreamy mystical and morbid; beautiful! The theme of dying because one lost a boyfriend/girlfriend seems a little cliche, maybe try making it more mystical why the person turned into a ghost too, please don't take this personal it's just my opinion.
