The Reaper's LootOf war, of war this day I write,
Of battle and blood that is shed in the night,
Of cries and screams of blood and pain,
I wish this night to become day's light.

The pain, the pain of the killing pursuit,
The scars etched upon berserker brutes,
The hate and fear of fire and lead,
I see the fruit of the reaper's loot.

Oh copper and lead seeking the foes' hearts,
Oh flesh and bone you sought to rend,
And as their souls depart,

The devil sees your new art.

Stardusti have this love etched into my skin,
it wraps around my empty heart like a forgotten melody,
lines and verses of nothing but stardust,
seeping into my bones.

Control (Or rather, lack of)All alone in a crowded room.
Eyes,
So many eyes,
Staring at me through the glass.
Isolating me
Until I exist solely in my own reality –
Alone,
With so many watching.

Poison,
An icy substance.
I cannot feel my fingers,
But I know they are still there.
I'm watching them twitch,
And for once we have something in common-
We're both watching me.

Vision blurring,
I no longer see clearly.
But I see your face,
Standing out amongst all the strangers.
You cannot stop staring.

Something's changed in me.
What have they done?
Oh God, what was in that vial?
Why did you passively stand by and watch?

Cracked ivory towers, tired and tattered
Bending the hairs on my eyelids
Dizzy and empassioned, I walk up the wall
Sitting in the corner, I scrape and roll
Closing my ears to their stares
Their narrow, twisted wrath
It rails me like glass

Red on the sand, green in my eyes
Patting the water as it breezes my cheek
Cool and soft as curtains of cotton
Soot covered blossoms of silver and lime
Peeling my thoughts with chisel and ice
Curvy sharpness hidden in wax
Melting with flames and honey
It drips from my lips

Wrapped inside my very thoughts
I become all I can sense
And I sense all that is

I am the acrylic rain
That restlessly stands still
That shatters me to pieces
Into dust and stars far gone

All's realised through me
Existence cheated by impossibility
Its plastic darkness spreads
And fills my conscious awareness

And veins so cold and slow
Bleed in this place of not-me
I stay but cannot remain
My comprehension overloaded
My mind stretched to infinity

No corruption and chaos.
Beauty before the eye.

She soar and soars,
High as the clouds,
Seeing what others
Only can dream.

Landing on a ledge,
By water, by sea,
Is when she gazes
Down at true beauty.

The heavens part
And she can view
For miles what any
Painter can't achieve.

Folding her wings
She escapes in peace,
Serenity at her new world.

They say that if a writer falls in love with you then you never really die.

Instead your body is laid out in its funerial shrouds and moulds are made. Soft impressions of you to be pressed onto the blank faces of future loves.

Every time I write of taking comfort in a safe place in a storm, it will be your forearm. Every half-made smile will be on your lips, and every touch will be constructed from the residue beneath your fingernails.

When I metaphise of trees' blood, the leaves that give the energy so that a willow can provide shade for those in need, it will be your blood, it will be your light drenched kisses.

The awesome cover image was a D.D. done by *AnaMariaMaxim , I TAKE NO OWNERSHIP. Go to her page to fave the pic, i do not want your faves if its just for the picture. I'm sorry for the repetition but i'll admit I was uninspired. The only reason i wrote this was because i watched the HunchBack of Notre Dame and heard Esmeralda's song and i was absolutely compelled to write something for it but recently I've felt like writing from a child's perspective and I've enjoyed it so i did it again. I pray (lol) that I in no way disrespected the original song with my vague representation. Also entered into ~LightOverpowers58 Building a Better World Entries Contest.

This reminds me of how sad my mom was when she and went to my grandfather's grave. He's beed dead for at least 30, before my mom and dad even met. This is very touching and haunting in a way. I like it.
