Broken GlassesThe tale began with my trudge down the road.
Hidden faces piercing me; were I some sort of a show?
But I was broken, broken within my heart.
And so I realized too late,
but even before I could have realized, my glasses broke.

If I were to wear them,
would appear the people,
who imitated my friends.
But sculptures too erode; they're nothing anymore,
through my broken glasses.

I once sensed the feel,
were I lost in lost spaces;
for them I wasn't even real.
Nothing more I'll be, they still jeer at me,
while I wear broken glasses.

She did love me once,
such long time ago,
when times were not tense.
But breaking a pledge

66. SnowPearly white and soft
From the sky fell over night
The world's wedding gown

The Countess and the ghosta ghost moves worm her room
he progressing slowly
with a perverse smile

the young countess sleeps peacefully
lost in her dreams
she hears nothing

the door opens
the beauty is in front of him
her face is delicately pose on the pillow

he hovers above the bed
admiring the curves of the young woman
this creature is so delicious

he leans a little
her neck is gorgeous but it still hesitates
this woman is so pretty

tortured by his choice
he prefers to leave the room

my lovely countess, this night was pleasing
I leave you this rose
to help you remember my visit

you are to me
but you ignore it yet

A DreamI dream of the sky
Flocks of bird fly
With the sun set
A hand on my chest
Amber eyes caress
I'm lost in her nest

her breath on my neck
its why she's a vex
she makes me a wreck
round luscious hips
show a few tips
then licks her lips

Alone in London TownI'm alone in old London-town
Searching for a place to sleep
I was going up, but came down
Now I'm living on the street

My bed's the number twenty-five
From Oxford Circus to Manor Park
Driver shakes me up when we arrive
I get out into the bus stop dark

It's summer but the rain is biting
Got no raincoat, just a plastic bag
Some folks think this is exciting
But truth is this life's a drag

I'll go to the place in the morning
Where they give me coffee white,
Let me out with the same warning:
"Hey, old chap, be safe tonight"

Got an appetite of a lorry driver
Gonna pick some pockets on the train
If I'm lucky I might get a fiver
If

Silver Egg!Celtic mists of time
Our land from long ago
There lies silver dragon egg
Sadly left with feelings of woe.

Nest on Carrauntoohil
Secret spot unknown
Safe throughout endless years
Millennium all on its own.

Dragon now seeks long lost egg
Feeling relief when it's found
Where she'd left it, long ago
Glittering silver on Celtic ground.

Red and green dragon wings
Flapping silently this quiet night
Mother breathes nurturing fire
Egg breaks there's dragon life.

Waiting on Celtic twilight
Pair fly high on Carrauntoohil
Portal into glories past
Door to home will open soon.

2012 Delice1941

Waltzing his last danceThe hall slowly fills;
there is not a tremor, not a sound.
The silence instills
the beating hearts of those that stand around.
Merriment then swells;
its satiating tremble within so profound
but alas there is but one man,
that waltzes to a tune unfound.

The merriment grows
as heels tap and dresses sway.
The bodies glow
with the light shimmering over the ballet.
The melody flows
for all participants are joyful and gay
yet woeful is the man in the corner
that dances a dance of dismay.

People laugh;
the girls in the hall giggle and pose
on the men's behalf
displaying their ornamented clothes;
the splendor in craft
invit

Don't Leave Me Here All AloneDon't Leave Me Here All Alone
I am weary and my heart aches
Every time I remember you are not here my heart breaks
My footsteps grow tired and weak
My ears strain to hear your voice but for reasons I can't understand you refuse to speak
My back stoops and strains under the weight of your absence
Any other man would have given up on you long ago but it seems I have no sense
I have only my love to guide me
Everything I do is for you so why can't you see
That God made me just for you
and your silence makes my heart bleed dark blue
Tears stream from my face
I'm so alone, and in such a dark place
Lord please light a candle to guide my way
Help me find someone who will never leave my side and always stay
You know who my heart yearns for
My love for her grows deeper daily and forever more
But if it will never be returned then this emptiness in my heart will only grow
Woman, I love you dearly, don't you know?
If my love means anything to you at all
Then let me know before I fall

To Love a Ghost I sometimes think that the reason I haven't been able to truly love someone in real life
is because a ghost holds my heart in his hands.

It's taken me awhile to admit,
but my heart belongs to a ghost,

He visits me at night as I sleep,
upon waking into a dream
I can feel his hands at my hips,

I get lost,
so lost in these times
that I swear I have never experienced
a moment so magnetic,

Daylight has never given me such a second,
it's only when I shut my eyes can I feel
the touch of a poltergeist,

The air is always thick
and foreheads damp with sweat,
then I reach for him
and I lose my sight,

All I can see are the
hot tan

The Littlest ArtistThis life isn't easy
I weave my work
Wherever I please
But I've been run out
Place to place
Wherever I end up

I've had fans
Who I'm thankful for
Critics that ignore me
But the one thing
That I'll never understand
Are those who hate me

They see me
They destroy my work
They try to kill me
My legs are tired
I can't run
I can hide
But if they find me
I fear the thought

Is it because I'm so small?
In such a big world
Is it because I scare people?
I don't mean too

Or is it because...
...I am merely a spider

Shh. (Extended)Shh, and hear the silent scream
Of the girl you used to be.

Blink; let her flash before your eyes
Let her smile take you by surprise.

Isn't the sight of those curved lips strange?
Stranger - how quickly this life can change.

Notice how she doesn't reek of pain.
The purity of her soul is difficult to obtain.

Wait...do echoes of the past have a soul?

Fire in my VeinsI can feel the fire burning in my veins,

For some reason I can't seem to move past this pain,

Just a simple glimpse of your face makes my heart jump,

The mere thought of you makes my blood pump,

At times I wish that we could go back,

Hit reverse and rewind the track,

But that's something that we can't do,

Because this has changed me and you,

There's too many things that I just don't know,

And we might not have that far to go,

Just like you said, I guess time will tell,

And until then I'll be living in this hell.

Symphony of life: MadnessA symphony? No, a sonata? Rather an ambiguous ambition,
enslaving my words to convey illustrative addictions.
A fool's time would be spent, were they to ponder my words.
For a free stream of hopeless rubble comes only from a coward.
Yes a coward may I be, but a madman too you say?
I divulge in my likes, be them lighted halls or dark ways.
Oh a crime should it be for a young child to play;
to color the sky with the darkest shades of gray?
Is it a crime to realize ones inner being, their madness?
To see their flaws, their failures their inner sadness?
To see a lifeless garden within cacti bloomed.
A carpet of dread, flowers of deat

memories don't just fadeMy eyes are red and bloodshot, with low-lying eyelids.

I widen them; it stings a little.
So I squeeze them shut, and open them again
- very slowly.
I've been sobbing on my pillow; it's smudged with my mascara.

Why didn't I take my makeup off before I went to bed?

What was the point of that question?
I sigh, I know exactly why there's no room in my mind
for thoughts about skincare.
I turn back to the mirror on my bedside, and trail my gaze down from my pathetic eyes
toward a purple gash running diagonally from my cupids bow
to the left side of my cheek.
My lip is split, so it hurts to talk now.
"If I slice your mouth sweetie

Love is Just a Word Until Someone Comes Along...Lay awake, I'm robbed of sleep
I hear the raindrops tap the street
Forgetting all I've fallen for, I can't go on
I can't be more

Hidden behind tapestries
Adorned with painful memories
Slowly realize what you've done, I've lost it all
I've come undone

A fallen angel at your feet
A broken mess at your mercy
Heartless in my time of need, you walked away
You watched me bleed

Holding out for fate unknown
A missing piece, an empty home
Living life with no one there, I know I'm lost
But I don't care

Within the boundaries of myself
Crying out for someone's help
Wishing for, with all my heart
They'll stop the pain and light the dar

I actually ignored it the first time I read it, but in a minute I returned to it, simply because I liked it a lot. Astonishing how many people write, for example, two pointless, dull lines, submit it, and it gets to the front page in a snap...While really good works, like this one, are left behind the crowd of crap that some people call "literature" or "poetry". Pisses me off sometimes. Sorry for the long comment

. I really like the way you put so many details in such a moment of time, really gets me. It's my stlye. The repetition of the title inside the poem itself is also a great technic. Simply hats off, mate. The soldier-and-his-love theme is awesome, I myself am thinking of trying it a big poem with a story.

Sometimes it doesn't take a whole page for the artist to express what they need to. It's in the depth of words not amount.
